In late 2009 SBD Associates was commissioned by the PTSC to research the feasibility of a Community Anchors Network and to set it up if appropriate. This would be part of the Capacity Builders/Change up initiative in Plymouth whereby different types of voluntary and community organisations were organised into appropriate networks as part of the PTSC Assembly.
SBD researched and contacted over 50 likely community organisations and organised a meeting to discuss the setting up of the network with those organisations in July. The intention is for SBD to service any network that is set up until March 2010.
